First Impressions of Harbour Island

The Bo Hengy II Fast Ferry travels from Nassau, thru Spanish Wells, to Harbour Island.  As there is a fiendish coral reef running along Eleuthera Island up to Harbour, and as a Pilot is strongly recommended for first-time sailors traveling that route, we thought it a good idea to take the ferry for a day trip to see the lay of the land, so to speak.  What a wonderful adventure it was.  We were thoroughly impressed and plan to revisit soon aboard Steadfast.

Enjoy our first impressions captured in this slideshow:

Have any of you been to this lovely island paradise?  Have I made you want to go????

Hi Rosemary. What a wonderful slide show you have put together for us! Oh yes, I would certainly love to go there one day. It looks beautiful. Love all the buildings, and I really liked the white one with the red door, and the floors round it. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Wonderful slideshow. Such a beautiful place, I love the turquoise and wicker furniture. Reminds me of summer here on PEI. Just wish we had the palm trees lol!

Okay, I'm sold! We are on the next flight out. Actually, I was supposed to go on a diving vacation to Eleuthera, but it got cancelled due venus and mars issues...
